Jason Hogan

"Jason Hogan is a graduate of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His journey in the performing arts began with The National Youth Theatre REP Company, where he performed in three West End productions over three months. During his training, Jason founded “Imlach Films,” producing over ten short films within two years, culminating in a screening at BAFTA.

In 2020, Jason earned a scholarship to study television writing at The National Film and Television School, where he co-developed his first pilot script. His dedication and talent were further showcased in his recent appearance in the West End play 'Dr Semmelweis,' where he starred alongside Mark Rylance.

Jason's short film, Twenty, marked his successful transition to the American stage. Premiering in the Fall of 2023, Twenty was showcased at three consecutive film festivals: the Oscar®-qualifying St. Louis International Film Festival, the San Pedro International Film Festival, and the Oscar®-qualifying Santa Fe International Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award. His journey continued in the Spring of 2023, with Twenty being featured at the Annapolis Film Festival, the Sarasota Film Festival, the Princeton Film Festival (where it received the Best Film Award), and FilmFest Petaluma. Jason returned to the States in August 2024 to screen at the Oscar®-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival and also won Best Narrative Short at the inaugural DIFF Shorts Film Festival presented by the Oscar®-qualifying Dallas International Film Festival. Twenty continued its Fall 2024 tour at the Ojai Film Festival, San Francisco Dance Film Festival, 

Bainbridge Island Film Festival, and the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival.

In April 2024, Jason's achievements reached a pinnacle when the Sony Future Filmmakers Competition selected Twenty from 8,400 submissions across 148 countries. Recognized as one of five finalists in the Fiction Shorts category, Jason was flown to Los Angeles by Sony Pictures Studios to participate in a week of workshops, culminating in an awards ceremony at the iconic studio.
